Wisconsin Elder Economic Security Initiative Data Release

  • Department of Financial Institutions 201 West Washington Avenue Madison, WI 53703

The Wisconsin Women’s Network is pleased to announce the release of an update to the Wisconsin Elder Economic Security Index. Continuing our partnership with Wider Opportunities for Women (WOW) and the Gerontology Institute at the University of Massachusetts Boston, we have updated our comprehensive report—an index that measures the income that older adults require to meet their basic needs and age in place with dignity—to include data from 2013.

We invite you to join us, along with GWAAR, at a media event on March 6th to officially release the updated report and research. We also invite you to become a WiEESI coalition member as we use the new data to offer concrete tools to shape public policies and programs to promote the economic well-being of elders.

This event will be graciously hosted by the Department of Financial Institutions at 201 W. Washington Avenue in the First Floor Conference Room.

Be sure to check out more information on WiEESI, and RSVP on our Facebook event page.
