February "Women on Topic" Brown Bag

Join us for the next WWN "Women on Topic" Brown Bag discussion on Tuesday, February 4th! The February Brown will be led by Katherine Charek Briggs, Assistant Director of the LGBT Campus Center of UW-Madison.

Katherine has an MA in Gender Studies and an MS in Information Studies from UT-Austin. Their work at UW is centered on leadership programming, trans advocacy, and information services and they have presented at regional and national conferences.

The mission of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) Campus Center is to strengthen and sustain an inclusive campus community for LGBTQ and allied students by eliminating heterosexism, homophobia, and gender identity oppression. The LGBT Campus Center's goal is to provide the services and resources necessary to meet the social, emotional, academic and cultural needs of LGBTQ students.

The February Brown Bag will take place in the WWN Conference Room, located in the Center for Change, 612 W. Main St., Suite 200, Madison.

All "Women on Topic" Brown Bag discussions are free to WWN members. Non-members wishing to attend are encouraged to join the WWN as reduced brown bag rates, or to give a small donation at any level at the door in support of the series.
